Create perfect soil conditions-
Raised beds allow you to create the right soil conditions to suit your growing needs, acid or alkaline, free draining or rich in organic matter.
Better drainage-
If you have poor drainage, raised beds enable you to overcome this problem quickly allowing you to garden successfully.
Extended gardening season-
Easy to warm up early, raised garden beds allow for a longer growing season.
Grow anywhere-
Patios, decking, balcony or rooftop garden, raised beds can be sited in a wide range of practical areas, giving you the potential to garden where traditional methods wouldn’t allow. This provides an excellent solution in towns and inner city areas where space is at a premium.
A more comfortable working height-
Bringing the garden closer to you and creating a more relaxed and comfortable working height is one of the advantages raised garden beds offer. You can sit on the ledge of the bed whilst gardening making it less back-breaking. Combined with paving around the beds they open up gardening to disabled and wheelchair confined gardeners as our beds can be raised in increments of 6 inches/150mm to suit individual needs.
Protect your crops-
Because the beds are made from timber it is very easy to secure fleece, netting, plastic cloches etc, to the sides using drawing pins, staples etc. Screw eyes in the top or sides allow you to secure your bean sticks, trellis etc, using gardening twine.
Naturally beautiful-
Truly a welcome addition, raised garden beds bring pleasing structure and order into the garden. Unlike other plastic manufactured beds which can go brittle and discoloured in time, the wood used in our beds will give years of service, turning a natural silver colour blending in with the surroundings and adding value to your garden.
